Native plants - average moisture
Most plants are average moisture plants.
They don't want to be water logged because water all the time will starve the roots of oxygen. They also don't want to be consistently dry so the soil biology that makes them function dries up.
They prefer swings in moisture from wet to dry...this allows the roots to have oxygen most of the time with regular spells of water to replenish the moisture for the soil bugs to keep thriving.
Most plants and locations in your yard fall into this category...so there's lots to choose from!
