If you want birds, bees and butterflies in your yard (who doesn't?) plant them food sources, nest building supplies, and places they can over winter. This invites them to live with you in your yard. Most importantly, native plants are specifically adapted to our climate and have been honed through thousands of years of adaptations to be versatile, tough, and durable plants. These are not plants you need to coddle. Just put them where they want to be, give them water and they will grow!
