Rudbeckia triloba - BROWN EYED SUSANS

Sale price$3.75

Tanya’s Take Great plant. Unfussy. I've grown it in full sun and it blooms. Full shade and it blooms. Bone dry conditions and it blooms. I've also never had it get diseases or pests. Truly a fuss free plant.

Pollinators served Small bees and insects.

Color and texture Upright plant with many branches, each with blooms.

Flowers Yellow with brown center. Each bloom is 1" but there are multiple branches per stem...this plant puts on a display!

Height 2-5'

Sun, part shade or shade? Best in full sun, but highly adaptable

Soil moisture Best with an average amount of moisture but will grow just fine in very dry conditions.

Preferred soils Very adaptable.

Is it a bully? No. Expanding dense clumps that self sow to perpetuate itself. It can volunteer around the garden but the littles are easily removed.

Drought tolerance Very high

Should you give this plant a try Yes. The only drawback is that this plant can get tall. It needs neighbors or a cluster of multiple plants to keep them all standing tall.

Is this native Yup. Entire east coast including DC, MD and VA
