Monarda fistulosa 'Claire Grace' - BEE BALM 'CLAIRE GRACE'

Sale price$3.00

Tanya’s Take Monarda 'Claire Grace' is a mold resistant bee balm cultivar.  It is a tough performer and very attractive accent plant.

Pollinators served Gosh, so many pollinators served.  They really get a lot of attention from bees and butterflies alike.

Color and texture Medium texture upright grower.

Flowers A dusky pink purple

Height 3-4'

Sun, part shade or shade? Sun to part shade

Soil moisture Adaptable average to moist to dry

Preferred soils Adaptable well drained loam to clay

Is it a bully? Nope.  Gently expands to fill the available space.

Drought tolerance Can tolerate a fair amount of drought periods when established but can't grow in full on dry conditions. Does better with regular moisture.  M. fistulosa is in general more tolerant of drier soils, and Claire Grace certainly demonstrates that.

Toughness rating It'll do well under normal garden conditions.

Should you give this plant a try Yes if it's going to get at least *some* water and 6 hours of sun.

Is this native Yup. Entire east coast including DC, MD and VA
