Sale price$3.00

Tanya’s Take Good native cultivar of another milkweed species to try for Monarch butterflies and a whole host of other pollinators.

Pollinators served Gosh, so many pollinators served.  They really get a lot of attention from bees and butterflies alike.

Color and texture Clumps of vertical stems topped with flowers early summer

Flowers Wide, white clusters

Height 2-3'

Sun, part shade or shade? Sun

Soil moisture This milkweed does better in consistently moist soils but will perform in average soil conditions.  Will not do well in dry areas.

Preferred soils Moist to wet clay or loam.  It'll grow as long as it's wet.

Is it a bully? With time forms dense multistemmed clusters.  Plays well with others.

Drought tolerance Not drought tolerant. Will always need some moisture. Don't try this plant in areas that get bone dry a lot.

Toughness rating It'll do well under normal garden conditions will do even better with consistently moist conditions. Medium tough.  In a moist location a superstar.

Should you give this plant a try YES if you have normal or moist garden soil and full sun where it can effortlessly thrive.  NO if all you have is hardpack, sun baked spots.

Is this native Yup. Entire east coast including DC, MD and VA
