Sale price$3.00

Tanya’s Take: I love this plant.  They've performed great for me in full sun.

Pollinators served: Special value for bees.  I saw a lot of activity on these flowers.  It’s why I want more.  Attracts birds and hummingbirds.

Color and texture:  Clump forming medium green medium large leaves.

Flowers:  Great blue spikes summer - fall

Height:  2-ish ft for me in full sun

Sun, part shade or shade?:   I have grown this in full sun and partial shade.  They do great in both for me.

Is it a bully?  Not at all.  Neat expanding clumps.

Drought tolerance: Needs consistent moisture.

Toughness rating: It’s rated as not being drought tolerant.  I believe that and you should too.

Should you give this plant a try: Yes, if you have a spot that doesn’t get bone dry.

Is this native:  Yup. DC, MD and VA
