Fragaria x 'Lipstick'

Sale price$6.00

***NOTE  All - this is not what I would consider a native plant.  It's a cross between Fragaria virginiana (which is native to here) and Cinquefoil.  It's a ground cover related to wild strawberry bred for showy flowers not fruit.

THESE ARE 4" POTS

COST: $6 EACH

I ended up with some  of these and I will not be using the.  I am selling them at cost.***

Tanya’s Take Have not grown this.

Pollinators served Unknown

Color and texture Medium textured leaves. Bred to be a good ground cover.

Flowers Bred for showy long lasting pink blooms.

Height Up to 1'

Sun, part shade or shade? Sun to part shade

Soil moisture Moist to dryish.  Highly adaptable.

Preferred soils Probably not fussy.

Is it a bully? It's definitely going to spread.  It's a runner.

Drought tolerance Probably pretty good, but I don't know.

Toughness rating Probably pretty good, but I don't know.

Should you give this plant a try It depends.  If you want a fully native garden, I'd pass.  If you like yourself a nice cultivated plant that performs well as a ground cover, this is probably a good try for you.

Is this native NO.  It's a hybrid cross between two plants of different families.
