Potted Amaryllis! - TAKOMA pick up
Amaryllis - nope, they are not just for Christmas! They come in a huge range of colors and forms and varieties! The drama of a blooming amaryllis cannot be understated. They definitely are a WOW!
So many reasons I love amaryllis...
These are potted bulbs in pretty glass or ceramic vases. They look great the moment you put them on your table. No muss, no fuss!
Enormous blooms! Each stalk with 4-6" blooms. (Except the green with maroon highlights which are 3-4", very uniquely colored blooms.)
Long lasting blooms...you can have blooms for weeks! Amaryllis blooms last about a week per flower, each stalk has 3-5 flowers and they bloom sequentially. So each stalk has flowers for weeks. You simply cut off the spent blooms and keep enjoying the others!
Each potted bulb has one stalk in bloom and another on the way...this means weeks of blooms! The bulb are not what you typically get a Home Depot. They are enormous (size matters with bulbs!) and will provide two stalks of blooms. This means blooms to enjoy for up to a month! In my experience, each bulb has the potential to (with reasonable care) produce more stalks of blooms beyond the two at purchase. You might get lucky!
They come in so many colors (and forms, and types...) I currently have a beautiful variety of pinks and a vibrant orange!
In bloom or nearly blooming Some are in bloom now for an instant WOW. Others are just about to bloom so you can maximize the enjoyment of watching the full show!
They are easy to care for while in bloom they come appropriately watered and then keep them moist, which is water once a week or so.
Comes with written care instructions They are not hard to care for: bright, indirect light, keep moist not wet. But they come with written instructions on how to care for them for longest blooms.
Tulips are not treated with pesticides, fungicides or miticides

HOW DOES PICK UP WORK?
For those of you considering purchasing but have never done it before, we make things super easy.
You will get a confirmation email of your purchase. (It will unfortunately say that the order will be ready at X time and it will be wrong. Please ignore it, we're trying to fix that!)
You will get a email the morning of the day you selected for pick up telling you the flowers are on the porch. This will be right around 8am.
Come to 808 Aspen St NW DC 20012 in TAKOMA DC
For the amaryllis, if the weather is OK they will be out on the porch for you to pick up. If the weather is untoward, there will be a sign for you to knock and you'll need to come inside.
They can be tall. Transport can be a thing. It is advised you NOT come with a stroller, two dogs and a coffee in hand. If you know what I mean...a little care will go a long way with these beauties!
You check your name off the list so I know who has picked up, and that's it! The freshest flowers, grab and go, easy peasy!
Heat is bad: Please leave your approximate pick up time. It's going to be in the high 80's on Saturday. Flowers don't like that. If you can come in the morning that would be best. Please leave me a note during check out (you will see a place for this on the Cart Page) about approximately when you'd be picking up.
Under normal spring circumstances I leave the flowers out at 8am and they can hang all day in the cool weather so things are easy for pick up. But heat will shorten vase life so a little planning goes a long way for long lasting flowers!
WHAT IF I CAN'T PICK UP AT THE AVAILABLE PICK UP DAYS/TIMES?
Please leave a note on the Cart page where it asks for your approximate pick up time. Please put a note requesting a different day. I'll reach out to you separately to confirm.
